Why we need purpose?

Running a yoga business is not always easy. As we mentioned in our previous blog, failure is often a part of the process of starting a business. This is where being resilient really helps. The wonderful part about yoga is that it really helps to build resilience within us.

Another thing that really helps all businesses, large or small, to keep going even in the times of adversity is to have a very clear purpose. Here we don’t mean fake vision and mission statements. Purpose is the North Star that keeps you on track. It’s the clear, naked reason why you started the business in the first place. It’s the force that gets you out of bed and energize your day.

For some it might be the desire to help others; it might be means to keep you grounded to a particular place; or to provide security for your family. Whatever it might be, it’s the one thing you can never afford to lose sight of. Your purpose will shape your business model, your partnerships, your work practices and much more.

Asanas For You purpose is clear to us: we want to make the lives of busy yoga teachers easier. That’s why we do what we do and want to get better at it.

What is your purpose?
